Hello, and welcome! I'm Lisa Dodson, an award-winning, national and Amazon #1 bestselling author of more than nineteen novels spanning clean contemporary romance, romantic suspense, inspirational romance, and Christian fiction.

 

I believe the most memorable love stories are about more than falling in love. They're about hope, healing, family, faith, second chances, and finding the courage to open your heart when life doesn't go according to plan.

 

My stories feature multicultural characters, meaningful relationships, emotional depth, and happily-ever-afters worth fighting for. Whether I'm writing about a small-town romance, a family finding its way back together, or two people discovering love in the middle of danger, my goal is to create stories that stay with readers long after the final page.

I'm especially excited to introduce readers to my Chapel Cove Romance series from Harlequin Heartwarming, beginning with The Holiday Promise, releasing November 24, 2026. Set in a charming North Carolina community, the series celebrates love, family, friendship, and the unexpected ways life brings people together.

 

Travel is one of my greatest inspirations. I love exploring beautiful destinations, experiencing different cultures, and bringing those places and experiences into my stories. As a hybrid author publishing through both traditional and independent platforms, I'm grateful for every opportunity to share stories that entertain, encourage, and inspire.

 

When I'm not writing, I serve as Director of Business Development for a technology consulting firm. I'm a proud Washington, D.C., native who now calls Raleigh, North Carolina, home. I'm also the mother of two wonderful adult children, a sci-fi geek, and someone who loves escaping to the beach, the mountains, or on a cruise whenever possible.
